LOVING
OUR CITIES

Loving Our Cities

Loving Our Cities is a 501c3 community development corporation serving as the community engagement arm of The Perfecting Church with a mission to enhance the quality of life where we live, work, serve and worship.  Inspired by a guiding principle that “Church is not a building,” Loving Our Cities seeks to mobilize people and partners to “Be the Church” in addition to attending one by addressing needs in marginalized communities locally and abroad.

Millennial Labs

U.S. Census Bureau data shows that 47 percent of New Jerseyans aged 18 to 34 years live with mom and dad (or one of the two)which is the highest percentage among the 50 states. In a time of rising student debt, housing costs and other expenses, an estimated 884,000 of the state’s 1.87 million residents in that age group share living space with parents due to the inability to absorb high housing costs, rising costs in many other areas, and a very challenging job market. To address this issue, Loving Our Cities launched Millennial Labs in 2020, a workforce development initiative designed as a pathway for young adults to obtain paid, practical experience to aid in their personal and professional development.
